When alternative power began, I explored the posibility of combining 2 alternative power sources into a single unit. The idea was to inlude a subteranean power conservation unit (battery) under the unit. Here are a few concept sketches.
This project was part of my exploration into material and processes. The base ofthe lamp was milled from solid aluminum, the legs and other parts were turned on a lathe, plastic dividers were cnc'd.

A gemological lab in Canada purchased a diamond laser engraver, however the product did not support mounted jewellery at the time. So I designed and manufactured a bracket which allowed them to laser engrave diamonds after mounting
After 9/11 I started thinking about ways to increase security especially when it came to detection and first response. I named this project "Sentinel". In essense the idea behind the sentinel is a track based drone which can serve different missions.
